Hi,
   Mistranscription - can be one hell of a holdup in your research. We all have
   them don't we? What's been your oddest / funniest ?
   The name which has given me most headaches is WENTZELL as follows, -
   NEUTZELL.   WEUTZELL   WENSELL
   WENTGELL.  WETZELL.    WETGELL
   WERTZELL.   MENTZEL.    WINSELL

    No doubt you will have experienced far worse?
