The marriage of Thomas Renshaw and Susanna Boswell was 24 Dec 1927 Christ Church.
Thomas was 22, a bachelor, not sure about his occupation it was hard to read, think it was Slater.
He lived at 79 Bridgefield Street his father was Charles Renshaw a Grave Digger.
Susanna Boswell was 18 and a spinster. She lived at 83 Bridgefield Street.
Her father was John Boswell a Hawker.
William Taylor and Nicola Beeley were the witnesses.

Hi! Thankyou all!

Yes my John Renshaw (1931 aka sonny Boswell) is the son of Susanna & Thomas.

There are two records mixed up for John S Boswell's marriage as When I search on ancestry I am finding the two John Boswell's as mentioned. What I'm struggling to find are susannas siblings/ John S Boswell's other children. My grandad can't recall any of their names apart from being introduced to an 'uncle daffodil' wether this was a nickname or not I do not know.

Again I really appreciate the help. And i didn't know that I could try the surname interest thing so I will give that a go! Thankyou again!

There is a marriage for a John Boswell 21,to Elizabeth Davenport 22, 29 Nov 1909 at Heaton Norris Christ Church. It doesn't mention his middle name but he was a hawker, father's name George also a hawker and witnesses were Samson Boswell and I think the other one is Leminder Boswell.
John and Elizabeth had a daughter Susannah born 1910/11.
I was going to say that the 1911 census would make it a bit clearer but I'm not sure that it does and I could be completely wrong. There seems to be two records, one for John Boswell and another for John S Boswell which is confusing me because I think they could be the same person. ::)

The Boswell/Davenport couple had children 1912 to 1926 in Stockport, the two witnesses at their marriage tie up with the probable chidren of George/Susannah.
When/Where did Susie Renshaw die at what age?

She left Thomas - unsure of wether they divorced before he passed. She left her son John on the steps of a chuch when he was a baby (John s Boswell cared for him) she then had another son Joe Harrison to Henry Harrison - I'm unsure of dates for Joe. But she actually remarried just before she died in 1994 to a Polish Man so she died Susanna Prystaz in Sheffield - I've been to her grave recently to check dates and her name, I have also found her death certificate on ancestry.

:) OK thought Susannah Renshaw b 1910 became a Harrison ( Although I cannot locate a marriage) ? No mention of a later marriage, she was married from what I can see in 1939 living with Henry Harrison also married living in Sheffield?

PS I would suggest checking out those Boswell/Davenport births they tie up with Susannah being born c 1910/11?

Hi,
Do you know when John S Boswell or his wife Elizabeth died and where?
Just thinking that there will be an obituary for them which is likely to help with your search.

Hi again, did Henry Harrison and Susannah "Adopt" the other apparent male child to Thomas & Susannah b 1935?

EDIT OK now I see in the same 1935 qtr  Stockport ( but appears to be a late entry ref 10a See J'50 referring to a 1950 birth 10a 839) is a Harrison birth ( Same male name) mmn Boswell who is shown to have died January 1996 Stockport aged 60

Did Henry Harrison and Susannah have a son Henry Harrison June qtr 1936 in Sheffield, as he looks to be possibly the one shown as born 1936 in an Institution in Stockport 1939, and dies 1955 Stockport aged 19?

The marriage was in 1981 in Stockport, so quite some time before she died.

Antin Prystasz and Sussannah R Harrison

The marriage was in 1981 in Stockport, so quite some time before she died.

Antin Prystasz and Sussannah R Harrison

That would bear out with the Widow waiting a few years to "remarry", as with one year out from the 1939, a Henry Harrison b 13th May 1907 dies Sept qtr 1977 Stockport aged 70

Anton Prystasz born 12th April 1914 died Sept qtr 1996 Sheffield.
