The 2 parties to the marriage I seek have been very elusive for quite awhile
and looking through my notes, I believe that they probably never married.

As you have seen the 1911, you will know there is no listing or acknowledgement of Rose May there.

With no sign of her in 1901? Well, I couldn't see her!
Among those with the same page reference as Rose Bines in the March 1899 births (4a 529) was Thomas William Mills, and he is three baptisms further on from Rose May Seager in the Barking baptism register (he was born a day earlier than her)

So likely that Rose Bines was born in Barking, and also likely that she was illegitimate. Is it possible that Rose was quickly adopted by Thomas and Elizabeth?

I wondered if Elizabeth was still alive in 1939, ditto Thomas Seager.

Thomas said he was born in Hadleigh, Suffolk
