Seeking record of 2 little sisters on ship Sydney - Germany c1898
« on: Saturday 06 January 18 09:35 GMT (UK) »
I’m seeking help, please, to find a passenger record of Annie Minnie Zink & sister Marie Louise Zink & whoever they were with, travelling from Sydney to Germany around 1898. Annie (known as Minnie) would have been about 13yrs old & Marie (known as Louisa) would have been about 5 yrs old.

They were sent from Sydney by their parents, Heinrich Otto & Friederike Louise Zink, to live with relatives in Germany & to be educated there.

Their paternal grandfather, Friedrich Carl Theodor Zink (known as Carl) was a schoolmaster in Gotha. Their paternal uncle, Carl Adalbert Ferdinand Zink, was a pastor in Welsleben. He & his wife were childless & I know Louisa lived with them for some time.

I have their return details but have no idea whether they travelled to Germany with relatives or family friends.

Name: Miss Minnie Zink
Port of Departure: Bremerhaven
Port of Arrival: Sydney, New South Wales
Voyage Arrival Date: 21 Nov 1907
Vessel Name: Bremen
(Annie Minnie Zink was born 1885 in Sydney so she was 22 yrs old)

Name: Miss Louisa Zink
Port of Departure: Bremen
Port of Arrival: Sydney
Vessel Name: Scharnhorst
Voyage Arrival Date: 4 May 1911
(Marie Louise Zink was born 1893 in Sydney so she was 18 yrs old)

Thanks,

Hi
This looks like them 14 Aug 1897 Sydney to Breman on the Weimar
Minnie and Louisa Zink under 10 years old
Fuidr Kurt
Karl ? Auguste Pahl
Mlle? Christenson all Erwachrens
They are noted on their arrival at Albany Western Australia on the Norddeutscher LLoyd line.

That's all the the passengers who got on at Sydney but which one they are with it doesn't say.Just a list of the children followed by what looks like 3 adults all in 3rd class.
On the next page is a August Svenson also going to Breman from Sydney.
There is also a Mr Parin Andrickson on the previous page going there.
It's on Ancestry if you fancy a better look.
