This indicated to me that either Evelyn was not the daughter of Edward or Kathleen was not the daughter of Edward as the relationship was too close.   Edward was still alive when this marriage took place. Edward had two families at the same time which must have known about each other.

According to this tree, Laura was considerably younger than is indicated by her New Zealand death record.......

Laura BIDDICK seems to have arrived in New Zealand in 1908 along with her son Edgar, aged 3 years.   (Several listings - immigration and passenger lists.)

Mrs BIDDICK aged 30 - housewife
Master BIDDICK - aged 3 Years (- one list has him as "Master E." )
Destined for New Plymouth - Arrived  "Rimutaka" - 13 March 1908

And this is the marriage of Edgar (who doesn't seem to have known his mother had married Mr. BUNTING) ???.   (Edgar's brother - J. H. (presumably Joseph Hooper ) BIDDICK is also part of proceedings.   ???
