« on: Saturday 06 January 18 13:59 GMT (UK) »
I really need some assistance with this will - apologies but the quality is not very good

Staring halfway across line 3 I think it says

Item I give and Bequeath unto Barbara
Wiglesworth & * Gates now the wife of William S**ler of Wisbech afores[ai]d
* * my kinswoman ye sume of ten shill[ings] a peece to be paid within a month
after my decease.

Thanks

I think it's probably Alice Gales. With 't' there's a fairly clear crossing linking to the next letter, which seems to be absent here.

Thanks but the 't' in after above looks a better overall shape than the 'l' in will below

I am still not sure

While it's far from certain, I am inclined towards Gates and Sowler.

That inclination is based on the absence in the first case and presence in the second of the "foot" which his l possesses - seen most clearly in ffalkner.

But 'twenty' in the second line has a very clear foot on the first letter....

In Gales/Gates I was looking at the dot above the 'e' and taking it to be the top of an 'l', with the intervening bits either faded or not picked up in the scan. I could be wrong - but as I said, there doesn't seem to be the crossing that a 't' would have.

True, but the characteristic "foot" on the l doesn't begin left of the vertical line as it does with that t.  It begins at the bottom of the vertical and heads to the right.
