Sarah Kendrick marriage to Moses Glynch, 1805?
« on: Saturday 06 January 18 16:39 GMT (UK) »
The marriage of Sarah and Moses is reported in a book published in 1891 in Illinois: Lake County Portraits and Biographical Album. Thomas and Joseph Glynch, brothers, are the subject of an entry wherein is stated that they were two of six children born to Moses Glynch and Sarah Kendrick, both of Co. Wexford. Birth order:  Anthony, Mary, Joseph (born 1810), Thomas (born !813), Sarah, George. Mary married Henry Ladd, born England. Mary, Joseph, and Thomas made their way to Wauconda, Illinois by 1840. Given that Thomas died in June of 1891, I presume the information about the family was from the testimony of Joseph who lived until 1899. Moses is said to have taken up arms against the British in the rebellion of 1798 and died in Ireland at the age of 75, his wife, Sarah dying at the age of 48.
