Hi
Colin emigrated to NZ 1963 aged 53 years on ship 'Rangitane' from London. Record shows him as single and a textile worker.
James emigrated in 1950 aged 33 on ship Atlantis from Southampton
Both records available on Family Search.

Regards KK

On the original image on ancestry it gives James' address in the UK as 103 Parchill Ave Port Glasgow. His occupation was Plater's helper.

Hi
As someone has already found Colin in the NZ electoral rolls I took a look for James and once I  noted down the other James Pyott I believe your James is the only other candidate left.
1957 He resides at Burns House , Mosgiel, Mornington Otago as a mill worker. He is still there in 1963 but the area down as Central Otago. In 1972 he is in Sydenham Cantebury as a cook.1978 he has moved north to Auckland but is still a cook. I haven't found a death but of course he may still be alive or hopped across the water to Australia.
I know you said you didn't know of any Pyotts in NZ before your uncles but don't you think it is a bit of a coincidence James went down to Otago for work when the other family was there. Perhaps another family strand to check out. It is an unusual name. The other family emigrated in 1914.
Hope this helps a bit. If you are interested there is some good info on the internet about Arthur Burns and his mills and how he looked after his employees.
I worked out Colin's date of death from the online NZ records as 20/05/1992 but haven't found any burial/cremation. Perhaps someone in NZ has better access.

Regards
KK

A telephone call to Auckland Library has established that the death of Colin Pyott was registered in Auckland. However I have not found a cemetery record for him, as yet.

I wonder if this may be his brother James, with surname spelt incorrectly?

From reply #4.......

In 1972 he is at 34 Le Roy terrace Birkenhead Auckland. Occupation - Lagger. Again no other Pyott at that address but there is a Sylvia M M Pyott at 320 Rangatira Road, married. 1978 he is the only Pyott at 14 King street Mt. Albert

Out of curiosity I looked for the lady mentioned above. This may be one and the same?....
