Brown Family Photo - Remove Black Ink
« on: Sunday 07 January 18 01:48 GMT (UK) »
I have no idea what has happened to this photo.  It seems to have black ink? across the faces of this family. The rest of the photo is in quite good order - possibly taken 1934-35.
The little boy in it seems to have missed it by chance.

If it's possible I would appreciate it if this black ink ? could be removed -please.

Many thanks....

Sarra

I can always rely on the Rootschatters on this board to do a great job - with my neglected photos.

Many thanks once again for a job well done.

Well done everybody, brilliant restores of a very difficult photo. I had three different attempts at it but couldn't get it right, so I'm afraid I gave up on this one.

Thanks, Pat.

I think ink damage is one of the worst because it obliterates detail, forcing you to make up bits that can’t be teased out. And faces are the hardest things to get right; sometimes they come off, sometimes not.

But I know you love a challenge, so… come on, have another go. :D

Well I'm not actually sure it was black ink.  I just assumed it was could not think of anything else it  but ink.
In this photo it was splashed right across their faces poor dears.

A big thank you to all who have tried to erase it for me.
