Is it possible that Thomas had been married previously?
How soon after his marriage to Ann was their first child born?
Could he have been a widower looking for comfort and compromised into marriage?
The first child I can find listed for "Thomas and Ann" is Jeremiah Baldock who was christened in 1702. However there is also a Thomas Baldock christened in 1700 as the son of "Thomas Baldock" who is probably the first child.
There are several online trees on Familysearch which show Thomas son being born c1676 and "of Westwell" and giving the parents as Anthony Baldock (born c1655 Westwell) and Liddia. Other trees on Familysearch show this Thomas as christened in Charing on 1 May 1656.
Anthony appears to have been the son of a Nicholas Baldock who was born in 1605 in Charing.
There is a Lidia Baldock christened in Charing in 1657 who could be a sister of the Thomas christened in 1655/6 however Familysearch gives her father's name as Abraham - however I guess that could be an error.
The only other possibilities I've found so far are a Thomas Baldock christened in Goudhurst in 1676 and one in Faversham in 1672 but I think these might be a little too far away to be my Thomas.
Could the Thomas born in 1655/56 be my ancestor?
