Census 1841 & 1851 - THOMAS MILLETT
« on: Sunday 07 January 18 11:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I have possibly got myself in a mix up with my Millets!!!
My 2nd great grandfather is Thomas Millett married to Jane Mary Young in 1860.

I have been unable to find Thomas on the census forms prior to his marriage and am looking for confirmation that his parents are Thomas and Frances ? I did find a census in 1841 for Thomas & Frances but Thomas junior was not mentioned.

Could anybody find the census info which would help ? I believe he was born about 1835 if I am on the right track.

thanks

There is a Thomas surname not known lodging with a family in Liverpool that might fit your missing Thomas the date of birth is given as 1831 it could be why you can’t find him otherwise.
Head John Crisp  born 1819
Census ref HO107/2177/686/60.
It might pay to locate other members of the family to see if he is with them in 1841. Often children were placed with grandparents if there was a large family of the parents needed help.
