 U.S., Border Crossings from Canada to U.S.,  George W Walker - born 1894 and aged 25 years - Port of Arrival:   Montreal, Quebec, Canada - August 1919 - machinist - sister Florence, 292 Ontario Street W Montreal. Also travelling wife Margaret aged 24 years. Going to Jacksonville FLA.

Margaret E. FOSTER - I searched high and low for that marriage (England and USA), without any luck at all. I never dreamed of looking at Canada!
I never knew Margaret's surname in the first place, so that was difficult enough, let alone having to think about looking in another country altogether - and one in between England and America I had no chance!

The original family hearsay went there was an Arthur WALKER that went to Canada, but we drew a complete blank on him as he has just never appeared on any searches.
Maybe now we are getting close, after all these years!  :)

Canadian Passenger List - William Walker aged 45 years (engineer) and Harriet Walker 47 years - had been in Canada previously for 2 years - going to Montreal. 18th September 1916 on the Ascania.
