Looking for any information on a family called Capretz or Copretz.

Particularly interested if connected to either the Leach, Carter, Haynes families.

Hi. This is very interesting. My mother was born out of wedlock in 1929 in London. She told me her mother eventually said a man named Felix Capretz, who was Swiss and married, was her father. Wonder if it’s the same? Thanks for the lead!
There are conflicting documents and statements over the years so trying to untangle what is true.

What time period are you looking at?

John Capretz - Lawrence Street Chelsea 1798

other listings have Capreth/Copretz

He was the son of John and Honor/Hannah Capretz born 1780 Soho

married first Mary Rumbell 5 Jan 1800 St Martin in the fields, she was buried 23 June 1805 St Luke's Chelsea

married 2nd Hannah Melville 30 March 1807 she was buried 30 December 1808 age 30 St Luke's

married 3rd Mary Lester 7 March 1810

He was buried 15 February 1824 St Luke's Chelsea age 43

I found 4 children of the first marriage, the two sons died, daughters Mary and Maria appear to have survived at least I've not yet found a death.
