Sinann & Dathai,

Well, what can I say? You have both been enormously helpful. I am so grateful, both for the research that you have done on my behalf and also for the websites that you have highlighted. Rootschat is a wonderful resource, with so many knowledgeable people.

As I intimated in the initial post this is my first attempt to research people with Irish ancestry. It just so happens that Bernard CLAVIN (1870-1965) and Rose Anne COOKE (1878-1954) are the Great Grandparents of the friend who I am voluntarily trying to help.

My friend is the grandson of Bernard & Rose's daughter, Mary CLAVIN (1911-2007), who married Stanley Frederick NUTKINS in 1935, in Islington (then in Middlesex - now a London borough). She met him when she was a nurse at the Whittington Hospital, where he was being treated for pneumonia.

I still have to write up the information you have enabled me to discover (you keep adding to my pool of knowledge), but I do know that my friend will be delighted to be made aware of all this extra information. Thank you once again.

Best wishes,

Alan
