Good Morning - my GG Grand father was Carl Freidrich Sacht born 1846 on the Island of Heligoland off Denmark - a British owned Island at the time .
the only records on www.freebmd.org.uk for Sacht are his wedding to Mary Ellen Jones in Liverpool and the births of his 2 daughters here in Garston - Sophia my g grandmother and Adelaide...
Carl Freidrich father was Datlief Sacht also born Heligoland

Now I find the marriage of a Carl Rudolph M S Sacht in Brentford ,Middlesex 1901 - can someone tell me who he married - no children for this couple on freebmd - I am going to see if I can find them on 1901 and 1911 census .
very rare name and I want to try and see if they are connected

FreeBMD shows Charles as an alternative to Carl.

Thank you both very much - I can make a note of these 2 records now - familysearch.org is down - I know we can't post 1911 census but if you can just answer yes or no if they are on 1911 census - can't see no children for them in England - I wonder if they moved out of the Country for his work ?
my GG GRandfather Carl was known as Charles and is down as both on freebmd as well

Familysearch is only down for some things.  I have just done a 1911 search on there for one  of 'my names'
