Peder Anderson married Christine Schumacher 23/5/1886 in Midhirst, Stratford, Taranaki, New Zealand (the same place in which he died in 1909).

This may be the same Peder Anderson. This Peder left Pjedsted, Denmark for Taranaki, New Zealand in 1902:

There is a death record for Peder in the New Zealand BDM records. 

1909/945  Andersen  Peder   Aged 48 yrs  giving a birth year of 1861

I've just found what appears to be his burial record on Billion Graves.  Buried in Midhurst Old Cemetery.

Another website reveals this to be Block 25 Plot 21

I think this 'gem' from Ian seems to prove that Peder was indeed from Pjedsted as birth entry states and not Thisted, Viborg.

This record also states that his last place of residence was indeed Taranaki. So he must have been visiting Denmark this time.
