Help with Niece's name in will
« on: Tuesday 09 January 18 14:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I can decipher most of the will attached, but I am having  difficulties with the Niece's name and location -

Nancy? ?? of Brook..

The will is for a potential relation, as I am trying to find any relatives of John Conalty from Burrenreagh Co Down, Ireland all I know is he married in 1849, so hoping searching wills could help identify some brothers, uncles etc
McClean, Kelly, Murray, Higgins, McAnulty (McNulty, Conalty, Kinolty), Morgan, Rafferty, McPolin (All Co Down, Ireland) Bowman, Hooper(Yorkshire)

I agree with Rosie. Based purely on comparing the letters with others in the document, the place looks to me like Brockah.

There are apparently lots of townlands in Ireland called Brockagh, so it could be one of them. More information at

Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson
