hi hoping someone can help me. does anyone have access to newspapers? just found the folowing. george smith from birth abt 1842 in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England , committed murder

Lots of papers have extensive write ups - he murdered his father. 

I have access to newspapers through my local County library service.  Your profile does not indicate where in the world you are located so I cannot give advice to you as to where you may view them other than taking out a subscription to FindMyPast or British newspapers
