Willesden - Electoral Rolls about 1907 - Alfred Hanson
« on: Wednesday 10 January 18 11:16 GMT (UK) »
I am not sure whether anyone has access to the ERs for Willesden and could look up 58 Brownlow Road, Willesden for the years leading to 1907?

In particular I am hoping to find an ALFRED HANSON living there, wife Mary.  He would be aged 66 and died in 1907.

Thanks

Pam

You can get some results out of the free search on Ancestry.

Surnames appear to be Bent/Dent, Pells/Tells and Powell.

I can only see years 1946, 1947 and 1959 for Willesden Borough on Ancestry.

Or am I missing something? ???

There have been boundary changes...
Looks like Willesden is within  Harrow Parliamentary district 1885-1945

To Update/save needless searching.

We have now found John Gingall in 1907   Harrow   @    34, Brownlow road, Willesden.
"walking down the road" it appears 58 is unoccupied.

Not necessarily unoccupied.  Women did not have the vote at that time and it would only show those eligible to vote. :-\

Oh silly me!  Of course.  Do you know when in the year the Electoral Roll would have been compiled?  Alfred died September 1907 and his wife/widow could still have been there.

If the register was produced once a year up until recently they were canvassed around Sept/Oct to be effective from the following year.
