Town of Ormsbee?
« on: Wednesday 10 January 18 12:58 GMT (UK) »
I am tracing a man who was described in a newspaper notice about his marriage as being from "Ormsbee, Lancashire". He was born in about 1850 and was married in 1875. I cannot find a place with that that name now. Was there a town with that name in the nineteenth century that has changed since? Would appreciate any help.

There are various places called Ormesby, in Yorkshire, Middlesborough etc. but not in Lancashire.

Is this the source of the information https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/THA18750217.2.6
I would not rely to much on the accuracy a report in a newspaper
