The photo is labelled " 3 guys and a horse". There are 2 horses. Is it the same picture as your other post when you thought it was a potato cart? In this one the driver has his right arm raised as if he's holding a lever. The lever would be to control the blade, raising and lowering it as required. The blade could be raised to an upright position to allow the machine clear passage through gateways.

Hi it is not the same photo there are two different people standing next to the grass cutter this time , one of them is my granddad's brother Tom but it was probably taken the same day. The photo was so bad when I first saw it I thought there was only one horse!  Do you think you can fix it? ;D

Just altered the background slightly so the second horse can be seen more clearly.
