Hi thanks for your reply, I've seen the 41 census and it certainly looks like 'Brain' and on bmd she died in 1847 also Brain. So born about 1761 tried looking for her marriage etc. to no avail. Thanks for the info and will try again with the names to see if there's a connection ;D

Umm, not sure which death you mean in 1847 - according to the GRO the Susannah BRAIN who died reg Sep qtr 1847 Aston Union was only 56, so probably not the one in the 1841 census.
