Sinann, so far i have only searched baptism records from the NLI which is exhaustive and turned up relatively little but none included marriage additions. findmypast records may prove different.

His height is very different to what I had been told, i guess that makes the family source very unreliable to have included such an odd piece of incorrect information. 1872 birth ties in with his death record. I subscribed to findmypast just now and have the 1901 court record you mentioned. I didn't realise it was such a good source.
I have recorded a lot of details of the family of John Kenny and Kitty McCloskey, civil, baptism, census. children Catherine/Cassie, James, Mary, Anne, Patrick, and a James baptised in 1863 that must have died at birth or very young. The surname McCloskey didn't tie in with information i had been given that James mother was an O'Donnell but this is the same source that makes James more than 6 inches taller for no apparant reason. This family ties in better with my fathers belief that he was from the Killybegs area(it isn't that far away) which i didnt mention as i also had sources suggesting Glenties and Somewhere around the Inishowen area close to Derry.
