I have visited very distant relations that live in Durham. It was then that I learnt of the existence of Flory who was apparently the wife of Ramsay Marsh's uncle Sidney, who, in spite of living i the south after he left the air force in 1947 kept direct contact with Sidney until Sidney's death abt. 1970.
Apparently Ramsay turned up at Sidney's funeral at Crook driving his, that is Sidney's limousine and took it back home, to Bucks, Berks, after the funeral.
also, it confirmed that my grandmother was Lily Marsh (nee Brown)
I was then sent pictures and information by the daughter of a exotic dancer that Ramsay went to live with (and who was part of the reason for my mother's and Ramsay's divorce in the High Court in London. This story needs to be told. I am just trying to gather the facts.) some the pictures show Flory and Lily together on a cruise in the early 1960s. I think Lily died at Wokingham abt. 1990

In order to add more substance to my findings. My intent was to find out more about a man that Ramsay called uncle Sid who I took to be related to Lily's family. I do not know if he was a miner but was told that he became a coal dealer and then a successful demolishion contractor when the railways were decommissioned in the early 1960s.
