Topic 'Awaiting Approval' - Why?

Hi all,

Started a new topic about 30 minutes ago & for some reason it is 'awaiting approval'! What! Why?

When I typed the topic it did state at the top of the page something to the effect of 'Note: this topic will need to be approved by a moderator'.

Why is it requiring approval?

I don't think this has happened before, but I have been known to be wrong! ;D

Is anyone able to enlighten me!

If it is on the photo board, they usually have to be approved first.
I think it’s because there have been problems with photos and Sarah has to see them first.
As it hasn’t been approved the link you give doesn’t work for anyone except you.

It is on the photo board as you surmised. I wasn't aware that topics on the photo board had to be approved first, thought perhaps I had done something wrong! ;D

This has been in place for some time now. This is to reduce the chance of people posting images of living people and photos being posted that have been drawn from the internet without the owner's consent.

Nothing to worry about, just security measures as Carol says.
I've had a couple awaiting approval myself in the past, it is a bit daunting though the first time it happens  :)
