Irish Thompson's (Lookup Request)
« on: Thursday 11 January 18 21:14 GMT (UK) »
Hello!
I am finding it quite difficult to find any further information on my ancestor, Elizabeth "Eliza" Thompson's (married name Weston), parents.
She was born 27 Dec 1844 in Omagh, Ireland. At some point she immigrated to Canada. She married a John Weston. I don't have a death date for her.

I believe her father was James Thompson, born 1820 in Ireland, and her mother may have also went by Eliza.

Any information on this family specifically James and her mother, would be appreciated! :)

1843/44 is well before the start of birth registration in Ireland (1864) and so you won't get a birth certificate for her. You will need to rely on church records to find Elizabeth’s baptism. Do you know what denomination she was?

That's got to be her. Her middle initial is J too. I added her death date and corrected her birth date. That would be her address in Ireland, right? Thanks!!

If you mean the address that I highlighted the answer is no- that is NOT an address in Ireland. This is her address at time of death in 1912 in Saginaw, Michigan as stated on her death certificate.
