Sarah Shrimpton's tragic death, Winson Green c1905.

I would like more information about my relative Sarah Shrimpton and family, Sarah ended her own life in Winson Green canal about 1905? She and her husband John Shrimpton lived above their Shoe Repair Shop, corner of Foundry Road and James Turner Street.
By motor car with my parents went there late 40's I think just to have a look. 'Googled' now to find the building is still there and the facia unaltered, quite pleased. John Shrimpton remarried, perhaps to a Mrs Thomas or Thompson, who had two children?
I think Sarah's death was also recorded in a local newspaper.
Any help much appreciated.

Winson Green is in Birmingham Warwickshire - not Worcs so I will ask the moderator to move your post to that board Moved to Warwickshire.

The only likely death I can find on freebmd is in 1913 Birmingham and she was Sarah J aged 39

Is that the correct death?

There is a burial of a Sarah Shrimpton in December 1913 at Warstone Lane Cemetery, Birmingham.

Birmingham Daily Gazette 23 December 1913

A drowning tragedy has occurred at Winson Green. Sarah Jane Shrimpton aged 40 of Foundry Road, was found dead in the canal about 8:30 yesterday morning. Police Constable Joyce was fetched, and the body removed to the mortuary. Mrs Shrimpton was the wife of a boot and shoe repairer.

Im wondering if the police constable fetched was my great grandfather george arthur joyce
who was a constable in that area at that time ?
