Restoration help (Barbados)
« on: Friday 12 January 18 05:36 GMT (UK) »
Hello, this is a family of some English colonists in Barbados around 1895 that I was hoping to have restored somehow. There is a lot of damage to this one. Additionally it seems that when the photo was initially digitized there is some artifact seen in horizontal lines. No need to colorize or fix the sepia tone, just looking to fix the splotches and lines if possible.

Thank you for any and all attempts!

Thanks so much, these are great already! You all are very fast at this. It's a skill I'd like to develop for myself one day.

Well done, both  :)

I've just started it and it really is a difficult one with the patchy clour, fish, banding and differential focus.  I'm not sure when/if I'll finish.

A first go with a slightly different tone. The program that I use for de-banding (Topaz) tends to soften the image. (A slight bit of texture might help!)

I struggle with anything that requires a bit of 'art' work. Stick men are my limit. :)
