James Ogilby of Limavady
« on: Friday 12 January 18 07:19 GMT (UK) »
Hello, can anyone, please, advise birth and death dates and a little information between for James Ogilby of Limavady who leased out a lot of the townlands of Carrowclare and Carrowreagh per Griffiths 1858.  And when ownership of these lands passed out of the hands of the Ogilby family and to whom. I understand the Olgilvy/Ogilby family purchased from the McCauslands (Wm McC died 1729) who followed or co-existed with the Conolly family who in 1697 purchased the Manor of Limavady from the Phillips family.

I am tracking the Moore family/families of Carrowreagh and Carrowclare from late 1600s to about 1890 and they rented lands from James Ogilby in 1858 Griffiths.

I tried googling but nothing much about James and dates not given.

Thankyou, Marilyn
