The Marriage Certificate (c/o FindMyPast) only quotes the ages of bride and groom as "Full"

Richard WHITELOCK retired from the Navy on 14/01/1885 and became a Pensioner.   I have now unearthed his first marriage in the 2nd quarter of 1862 to Rebecca GILL.   She subsequently died in the 2nd quarter of 1877.

Interestingly he named his second son "George".......I wonder if that has any significance ???
