Just to clarify this post-

James lamont that died 3/12/1891 in Ballmoney, Ireland has a will and his son James Lamont of Kirkinriola was born in Antrim. Joseph, John, Jane, Thomas and Elizabeth (married name Harbison) seem to be other children.

Seems like Mary Norris was not the wife of this James Lamont. So yes looks like two different families ...... Sandi might just be jumping to the conclusion that the only James Lamont death she found is her ancestor.

Here's the death for James Lamont died 3 Dec.1891 at Kirkinriola (Ballymena registration district) and his son lived at Ballymena-

and here's the Will extract from PRONI's site-
The Will of James Lamont late of Kirkinriola County Antrim Farmer who died 3 December 1891 at same place was proved at Belfast by James Lamont Junior of Kirkinriola Farmer the surviving Executor.

OP = Original Poster i.e. you.

If The Peggy Jane Lamont from Tyrone is your connection then you can disregard most of the others posted on this thread.
