The familysearch website records Timothy in the 1861 census as being born Brimpton Berkshire. There is a baptism for a Timothy Wickens 23rd feb 1812 Wasing Berkshire son of Richard and Anne Wickens. He is recorded with them in Wasing in the 1841 census. Wasing is approximately 1.4 miles from Brimpton, so a possibility perhaps.

Edit: The 1851 census on familysearch records:

Timothy Wickins aged 39 born Wasing
Elizabeth Wickins aged 37 born Temple Guiting Gloucestershire
Elizabeth Wickins aged 8 born Brimpton
Mark Wickins aged 7 born Brimpton
Richard Wickins aged 5 born Brimpton
John Wickins aged 2 born Aldermaston
George Wickins (no aged given) born Aldermaston

Yes, your appreciated search really doesn't tell me much that I don't know. Somehow Tim has to be connected to Joseph Wickens (1806-1893) by his marriage to Mary Ann Keep (1809-1892) because [thanks' for the correction; recorders had it backwards] Temple Guiting is Mary Ann's birthplace.

The question now arises, who is Richard Wickens? Joseph had no living siblings and his father was William, both from Wolverton, Hants. The couple named none of their 11 children Richard but their first daughter is Ann. Unmarried, she cares for J. & M A into death.

Somewhere there has to be a clue.  Thanks.
