1.  Everyone [here] agrees that the man in the two photos is one and the same.
2.  I know that the man on the 1927 b/w photo is my grandfather (it's a snip from photo of him and gran with all eight of their children).
3.  There is some slight difference of opinion [here] as to whether the two women are the same, but as grandfather was an only child and only married once, I can't think of anyone else it could be other than gran.

So, I'm thinking that the couple on the sepia photo must be my grandparents. 

Does that sound right?

Put it this way, your conclusions in summoning up !!, evidence is strong, Gadgets overlay looks a good match as, chin, nose area's of all the photo's of the lady and general overall view as roundness of face, forehead, cheek bone structure and seem the same.

Either all same lady or faint chance sisters.
