Seeking Descendants of Ethel Bertha PLEDGER (nee COWAN) Born 1883 London

Seeking contact with descendants of Ethel Bertha Pledger (born Cowan) was born in 1883.
Ethel was the daughter of Frederick Cowan, engineer & Fanny Cowan nee Richardson. I believe they settled in West Ham in the Walthamstowe area during the 1890s.
Ethel married Henry James Pledger in London in 1912, at age 29 .
Henry was born in 1879, in Shoreditch.
They had one son: Henry Frederick Charles Pledger.el Bertha PLEDGER formerly COWAN.

I am the great grandson of Frederick Cowan through his son Henry Richardson Cowan, wheelwright & blacksmith, who married Fanny Esther Patterson. Henry settled in the Eastwood area in Essex during the 1890s.

I would dearly love to know more about Ethel's life & obtain copies of any photos of both her & her family. Perhaps photos of her parents still exist out there in the ether!

There also appears to be a daughter Ethel M. Pledger mmn Cowan in Sept.qtr.1917 Hackney (same  district where son Henry's birth recorded).

Looks like she remained unmarried - death Ethel May Pledger b.14/8/1917, Dec.2002 Teignbridge, Devon.   (The 1939 Register shows family were living in Devon).

That is interesting Annette! My Ethel was an Ethel Bertha Cowan and her birth is recorded in 1883. So a little confused but I suppose she may have preferred the middle name 'May'?

You've got confused - Ethel May Pledger b.1917 was the daughter of Ethel Bertha Pledger, nee Cowan b.1883 i.e. Ethel Bertha had 2 children, Henry Frederick Charles b.1914 Hackney and Ethel May b.1917 Hackney.
