For others who are interested, the 'marriage' was to Lily Ivy Morris age 32 on 21st December 1946 in Birmingham to Richard Colman.

Lily Morris (Colman, Morris) shows on 1939 register in Birmingham, so it looks like she reverted to Morris and is dead.  Born 16th July 1914.

james S Morris (1873) also shows in the household.

I have an image of the census records and it has some extra writing to it, is there anywhere I can upload it on here? I have tried twice to attach image but it isn’t showing on the post

I'm afraid you aren't allowed to post images of the 1939 register as the copyright is with National Archives and Find My Past.

I think you can direct people to the relevant one by stating the address or the name but not quite sure about that.

No doubt someone with more knowledge will clarify that.

As I understand it, you can quote details from the free search but not the image as that is only available through a subscription.

Do you know when the bigamy was discovered - so by what date were the two sons born?

I have received information that Lily possibly had twin sons called Peter and Paul, they were born before the marriage occurred, their surname is Morris and they were registered in April/May/June 1946. Am trying to locate census records x

It looks as though Lily reverted to the surname Morris in about October 1947.

I'm afraid there won't be any census records that you can see as they were born after the 1939 register.  The next census that was done would have been in 1951 and that presumably won't be available until 2052.

Electoral rolls are the only option at the moment.
