seek NAYLOR descendants to help fill in the blanks...
« on: Wednesday 17 January 18 14:14 GMT (UK) »
...my research so far has found a James Naylor born on 19 June 1905 in Earlestown, Lancashire (father's army record) and a matching death/probate of 9 July 1995 in (Mackworth) Derby, Derbyshire

- a 1939 basic search finds Ivy E Naylor listed with James in Crewe, Cheshire...

I found an Ivy Emma Naylor (born 2 June 1909) who died in October 1990 in Derby, Derbyshire
(I'm guessing Ivy Emma Addis born in Nantwich 1909 is the same person but no marriage found)

Here's hoping a relation or descendant reads my post and can fill in some missing details!

Thank you and best wishes!

 ;)

Hi

Ivy Addis left the UK alone on 28 September 1929 onboard the Darro destined for Buenos Aires - address for her was "Crewe"

On the 12 November 1931 she arrived back in the UK onboard the 'Highland Chieftain' from Buenos Aires as Ivy Naylor, along with James and I'm presuming an infant Sheila Alice ( no age for her)

James was a blacksmith aged 26, address 53 Legh St. Earlstown
Ivy was aged 20 and her address was 5 Alexander St. Crewe.

Perhaps a marriage in Buenos Aires ?

On the free 1939 register, 3 closed entries show - presumably Sheila Alice (age 1 in the incoming ship's information) and 2 other children.  Those 2 children's births can be found on free bmd under Naylor/Addis.

The son possibly showing on ER's for 2003 to 2005, and 2013, in Derby.

No marriage of the couple, nor the birth of Sheila 1929-1931 in Argentina in the Overseas Marriages and Birth GRO index on FindMyPast.

Only possible relevant entry is the registration of the birth of William B NAYLOR 1931-35 Buenos Aires.
