1871 census Notting Hill.

I have a  Nathan Litherland  who died in 15 July 1871 in Lancashire , in his probate  it states he  is late of 10 Addison Road Notting Hill in the County of Middlesex.
In 1871 census he is in Edinburgh and I have never found him in London, but his wife may have had relatives there.
Is it possible to find who was at this address in 1871.

Looks like that portion of the 1871 has been damaged.

What surname would the wife's relataives had?

I've got the 1873 electoral register but it's compied by surname and then address

Sorry it was his sister Elizabeth Williamson. She had sons in London including Daniel Alexander Williamson an artist

But he was in Lancashire .1871

his wife was Harriet Fox born Birmingham.

The occupant in both the 1869 directory and the 1871 census is William Fripp.

Thank you. I have found no connection at all so it is still a complete mystery .

The 1871 probate calendar says
proved (12 August) at the Principal Registry by Harriet Litherland of 10 Addison road Widow the Relict
So Harriet was living there at the time.

Yes , that's what I thought. 

The only other thing I found is William Fripp in the 1873 voters list. I don`t understand.
He has 2 addresses in Addison Road. 10 and 13.
Can anyone explain?

He has 2 addresses in Addison Road. 10 and 13.

The first address in the voters list (10 Addison Road) is his abode. The second column ("house") tells us his qualification to vote (see the 1867 Reform Act for eligibility to vote).  The third column (13 Addison Road) tells us the address of the property which gives him the right to vote.

So I think it must mean that he lived at number 10 as a tenant (presumably paying less than £10 a year in rent specified in the Act) but he either owned number 13 or paid £10 a year or more to rent it.
