Edgar / Donaldson
« on: Thursday 18 January 18 12:13 GMT (UK) »
On 31/12/1894 in Dundee, Scotland Minnie Edgar( my great Aunt ) married Alexander Campbell Donaldson.. In 1916 the family emigrated to Canada. The surviving children were Robina (Ruby) 1900-1952, Georgina 1904-1980, Sarah (Cissie) 1906-1968, Alexander (Alec,Sandy, Echie) 1901-1981, David 1908-1971 and Nellie (dates unknown but deceased). We can see that they were all born In Scotland. My quest is to find out more about their mother Minnie and the bonus would be info on their Grandfather, Hamilton Edgar

Any info at all would be really great.

There is a tree on Ancestry that has the family including Minnie and Alexander's death.

1921 Census has them in Regina

I have turned off all email notifications, thank you.

Hi DonM and Sandra. Sorry for delay in replying and thanks for your postings.
First to DonM. I'm sure that's them as they emigrated in 1916.The problem is that's all I have and I was hoping to find some more info just to guarantee my info is correct.
Sandra. It could be him although on Margaret's wedding cert in 1886 he was a labourer + he did not marry Joan Donaldson until 1895, in Dundee. The only mention of Hamilton on Minnie and Alexander's cert is that Hamilton is her father. The address is also slightly different as I have two addresses i @ 8 Morrison Court, Dundee and in 1895 36 Hilltown, Dundee.
