On the same page is Mary Jane Hall.

On GRO website Tom's mother's maiden name is recorded as Hall  :).

Wits - George & Agnes Hall
Both Edward and Mary Jane signed their names.

Thanks jj I've had a look on the free 1881 census I found a Mary Jane hall she was born 1863 she was a tailoress  ,which maybe gives me a clue ,,,now I have  her mother and fathers names ,the book l have is a kneedlwork instruction book ,so lm hoping its maybe her mothers .clutching at straws maybe ,,thankyou
