That is a fascinating find Mike.

I note it also mentions John Solomon sold groceries and provisions.

On the marriage certificate I have for Ernest Solomon and Esther Windish it notes Ernest's fathers profession as "General Deals"

So it appears the solomons left London and headed to New Zealand to follow the Gold Rush which didnt last and then we can guess the family headed back to London to start a new life\careers.

I notice it also makes mention of  their only being 5 or 6 jewish familes left by the end of the century including pollock and solomon.
