Dating a old photo of mine

Trying to date the photo, not sure who it is.  Any ideas based on the uniform?  Any tips would help, even a website for dating old military uniforms.

Actually did not forget.......... did not do it right.  The photo had too many bytes.  Reread the information, should be OK..

Looks like West Point Military Academy for officers.
Griffiths Llandogo, Mitcheltroy, Mon. and Whitchurch Here (Also Edwards),  18th C., Griffiths FoD 19th Century.

I know nothing about uniforms but it seems a little similar to the one discussed on this thread:

If it is a yeomanry uniform this may narrow your search a little.
