Problems Logging In
« on: Sunday 21 January 18 08:58 GMT (UK) »
Have had to reset password twice and it took four attempts to log in. It kept on insisting that the password was wrong even though it was carefully typed in and was correct. Frustrating. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Could it be flaky internet?

This kind of thing can sometimes be a keyboard issue.

For example, I used to have a laptop that provided a numeric keypad as a set of alternative key presses in the middle of the standard QWERTY keyboard. For some reason, Num Lock kept turning itself on and when I thought I was typing the letter H it was actually becoming the number 5.

Open a window into which you can type text (e.g. Notepad, Word, or equivalents) and type in your password, to check whether what you think you're typing is what's actually happening.

Since the last update of Firefox, I have been having problems with passwords, so I have shifted to Google Chrome. No problems now.
