Will FTM v6 work with win10
« on: Sunday 21 January 18 11:45 GMT (UK) »
This is a very specific question, not "might it?" or "what alternatives do I have?" so it may be that nobody is in a position to reply and that's fine.

As something of a dinosaur I don't want to replace this really ancient version of FTM which I've been using for so long that I know pretty much all its foibles and keyboard shortcuts.  But I do need to replace my old win7 desktop.  If I get something custom built I can have win10 or win7.  With win7 I know that everything which works at the moment should continue to do so.  With win10 set up to look and feel like win7 I may lose the use of an old printer that I use for scanning and certain old software may not work.

I'm leaning towards sticking with what I know but if anyone is able to tell me that my old ftm version WILL work with win10 then perhaps I'll go with win10.

Jane :-)

Can't answer your actual question but can tell you FTM2017 isn't much different to FTM v6 so you wouldn't find it a problem to upgrade.  More features but the same old ones are still there and you can use it in the same manner.

That way, with FTM2017 and Win 10 you would be really up to date.
