Thanks Sinann.
They did travel about a bit.

Duncormick quite possibly just another stop on their wander about so they may not be related to the Mark Redmond family at all.

Thanks for all of your kind assistance. I did make a mistake with Williams DOB.  When I looked closer today I could see it was an 8 not a 9 .
It is possible that there is no connection between the Redmond family's I was hoping to find one but what I Am confident about now is John born to Patrick Redmond & Anne nee Flynn had a number of brothers and sisters. Including William.
Thanks to your work it seems lightly that Patrick died and was buried in Murrintown in 1896 and Anne died in 1899. Therefore there children were probably with relatives for the 1901 census. John gives rahaspick as his address on enlistment so that collaborates that..  Kinda.  Thanks again.

I think you have summed it up there.

It’s sad that we couldn’t find a marriage but you have a good bit of information now.

Best thing is a young man who lost his life in WWI has had his passing marked and noted plus his place in a family has been found and that is all thanks to you Stav01, well done.

If you haven't already ( I didn't look) perhaps you could add him here

Just something to consider

Anne may have been a widow and not Flynn on  her marriage

I have looked for a Patrick Redmond Marriage from 1870 to  1875 and only found one where the Ann was widowed and her fathers name wasn't Flynn unfortunately, but that was only a quick look, you may have more luck

Thanks. For all your help. This has helped me loads.  John was born in January 1894 and William is born just over 8 months later. In August 1894. In Duncormick. I knew from John Redmond's military records that his last address was rahaspick.  But I didn't know how to find out where. Now I know he had relatives living there. This is great thanks.

Is it possible that John was born in 1893 and registered/baptised in 1894.
Premature babies did not normally survive back then
