Ferguson..Lost Burial
« on: Monday 22 January 18 23:57 GMT (UK) »
Peter Ferguson.
Born 23 April 1915. at Bannockburn
Died 9 April 1918. at Tulliallan near Kincardine on Forth
Can't find a place of burial. I have tried the Cemetery Depts for Stirling and Perthshire without any luck.
It's possible he may have been buried in Bannockburn, Stirling or Blairdrummond.

Anyone have any ideas ?

With thanks.

Have you tried sending an enquiry to Stirling Archives?

Much of the Cemeteries info is no longer held by the Council and has been passed to the Archives.

Worth a wee phone or e-mail?

Anne :-)

 ;D

I'm not the only one who has 'moments' then?

Any further forward finding Peter?

Below is a Death Notice from the Stirling Observer, 20th (& 23rd) April 1918. Doesn't help with the place of burial though. I've left the other Ferguson death in case it's of any interest

Anne  :)

Thanks a lot for that Anne.
The young boys in your posting were cousins.
Robert, my grandfather and his brother, Peter were employed at the same farm when both of them lost sons just one day apart.
Info on William is among some of the stuff I lost in my great computer crash a few years ago.

Much regards.

William is here in Camelon but Peters resting place is still to be discovered.
Both of these lairs were probably purchased by Peter Ferguson.
Peter and Alexander were brothers.
As can be seen, the child mortality rate was horrendous.
