At the following link, (right-hand side of page),  is the marriage on 8 February 1816 of Thomas MULLOWNEY of the Parish of Thurles.

Should have mentioned that I'd already viewed many similar lists in an effort to determine which were the most likely placenames ... all to no avail though (or should I say, they just lead me to further confusion  ;D .)

What I was really hoping for by posting here, was for someone (maybe with local knowledge of the area) to help in deciphering the names as they appear in the image.

In the presence of William Ryan (shortened William)

Place names are difficult it can help to look over the whole page and other pages to see if the names are written clearer elsewhere.
