I had a look at Google Maps and see Burton Lazars & Eaton are, by current road 9.8 miles apart. Whissendene and Eaton 11.2 miles apart.

A transcript of the 1741 marriage states that it was by licence, and that Frisworth was from Owthorp, Nottingamshire and Robert from Eston (sic), Leicester.

Wonder if the marriage licences are still available.  If so it may make mention that Robert is a widower???

There's nothing on the transcript about whether he was a widow or a bachelor, but I'm just looking to see if I can find the original licence or marriage.

Thanks so much Jomot.

I was looking to see what became of Frisworth FLOOR.  Her parents Richard and Jane were buried 19 Nov 1729 and 18 Oct 1730 respectively.  No mention of Frisworth as yet however the Frisworth MASON seems to be panning out to be a  better fit perhaps?

Unfortunately I cant find any image available online, although the BTs for St Mary's Nottingham are viewable at a FHS.

I'll keep looking for a suitable Frisworth!
