You should put all the information you already have in the original post, it saves us wasting our time duplicating information.

There is a marriage record in Welland Ontario (12 January 1912) for a Kate Smith who was born in Ayr and aged 21 years  (to George Jessie McNeil) -  giving parents as Hugh Smith and Helen Wilkinson - could this be a daughter of Hugh Irvine Smith (born 16 March 1856 Culross Perth) and Helen who show on the 1891 Scotland Census. Have you traced a marriage for Hugh and Helen or found them on census after 1891  ?

24 Lower Castlehill Stirling Stirlingshire - 1891

Hugh I Smith   35 Born Culross. Mason.
Helen Smith   34

Just in case this is the right connection for your family - further info for you to check out.

George Jessie McNeil (born Hamilton Ontario - aged 31 years -  bricklayer) and Kate Smith (born 1889 Scotland) appear on a US border crossing Canada to the USA - arriving 13 October 1922 Buffalo, New York/Last permanent address Welland Ontario. Going to Shapsville PA.  Also travelling a one year old son called Hugh. Kate had been in Boston USA in 1911.
