Looking for Margaret Pearl Stallard, died Grass Valley Nevada Cal. 1992

Looking for info. for Margaret Pearl Stallard,  An obit  or  cem. or death cert.

As it says on the death index is that the exact place where she died.  I think the exact date of death should be Mar. 1, but am not sure.

Who can get a death cert & how to do  you go about it.

Any help would be much appreciated as I am in Canada .

The Social Security death index does not include a place of death, but rather a place of last residence or last benefits.  This may or may not be the place where the person died.

The California death index from 1940-1997 is available in various locations, including www.familysearch.org.  I do not see an entry for your Margaret there, so she may not have died in California.

Thank you for telling me  that she didn't die in  Cal.

Since I have her SSN, & the year she died,  would I be able to find out by using it where she died.  If so how would I go about it

I think you would need to look state-by-state, and they don't all have records/indexes online.

You could try to see if the local library would look up an obituary for her.  Sometimes, they will for free or a small fee.  There is an Ask a Librarian form for the Nevada Co. library here - https://www.mynevadacounty.com/407/Ask-a-Librarian

Would someone  be able to check the voting records, or directories for 1990-1992  for

Margaret Stallard, in Grass Valley, Nevada, Cal  & see who else was there with her.

I don't think there are any voting records or city directories for Grass Valley online from that time frame.

Unless the death occurred overseas, it is unlikely that the federal government has the death certificate since deaths are recorded by the individual states.
