Mark, if you do follow up either/both of these deaths, I do not know if you have purchased bmd certificates in the past, but if not please use only the GRO as supplier?!
And please come back if correct purchases.

It is always worth looking at the probate calendar. I think on that basis you can probably rule out the 1942 death . He was Frank Douglas Evans of Wimbourne Road Bournemoith -probate to Ada Gertrude Evans widow. (Suggest you look at the 1939 register to confirm this).
